Studio Policies

​

  • Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before class and pick up dancers within 5 minutes of class ending.

  • Dancers should use the restroom before class and bring only water into the studio (no gum or peanut/tree nut snacks).

  • Parents/guardians are not permitted in the studio during class.

  • Please notify us if your dancer will be absent.

  • Costumes are required for all dancers participating in performances.

  • Respect our studio, staff, and fellow dancers—we have zero tolerance for bullying and ask everyone to clean up after themselves.

  • Sam's School of Dance is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please keep dance bags and personal belongings with you.

  • Class placement is determined by the Director based on age, ability, and maturity.

  • Progress updates are available upon request.

  • Photos and videos taken during classes and performances may be used for studio promotional purposes.

  • We communicate primarily by email, so please ensure your contact information is kept up to date.

Cancellation Policy

When school is cancelled due to weather, the studio will also be closed and all classes will be cancelled.
 

If classes are cancelled for any other reason, a make-up class will be scheduled and added to the session.
 

All cancellations and studio updates will be communicated by email and posted on our social media channels.

Dress Code

​​Dancers should arrive in comfortable athletic clothing, such as leggings, yoga pants, sweatpants, shorts, T-shirts, or workout tops. Jeans are not permitted. Hair must be securely tied back in a ponytail or bun. Tap shoes are required, and each dancer should bring a labelled water bottle to every class.
